INTENTION DRIVING DESIGN
Our intent is to build attractive fit-for-purpose housing that will be an asset to Mayne Island while being economically self-sufficient. The concept shown above would incorporate four rental units in an upper and lower configuration, while maintaining the local building scale of homes in a neighbourhood.
Best practices for management of affordable housing communities will be sought out. Other island communities in our region are addressing similar housing needs and are sharing their experiences and solutions. Residents and neighbours of new housing have a real stake in its proper management.
